We have received reports that some people have been scammed on WhatsApp (as seen in the screenshot) by individuals outside our office. This has been reported to the FBI and WhatsApp authorities. However, we are writing this post with the intention of preventing further victims. Please note the following:
1. The Erika Rodríguez Law Firm will NEVER request or accept payments through apps such as Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, etc.
2. We ONLY accept payments IN PERSON at our office or through the online platform LawPay.
3. We will NEVER contact our clients about their cases through WhatsApp, Facebook Chat, or other messaging apps. All communications will be either via video call with our attorneys or in person. If our office contacts you by phone, it will only be from our official office number: 619-289-8090 (no other numbers).
4. We ONLY send emails to our clients from our official domain @erlawsd.com and never from third-party domains. If you receive an email from an address that is not @erlawsd.com, it does not come from our office.
5. We ONLY call or text our clients from our phone number 619-289-8090. Our office is located in San Diego, and we do not have any offices outside of San Diego. In many cases, people sent money before contacting us, which made it impossible to prevent them from being scammed. Our office keeps records of all consultations, so we can confirm whether or not you had an appointment with us.
6. Our office may respond to inquiries and potential clients through social media, but we will never discuss case details or request payments via these channels. All consultations take place in person at our San Diego office or are coordinated through our office number for a video call.
7. Currently, there are three WhatsApp numbers we have reported. In each case, they are using images from our page to make it appear as if they are our office and to defraud people. The fraudulent numbers are (619)-362-9270, (517)-312-1779, and (201)-378-6369. There may be many more, as these individuals can buy a new number and create a profile daily. Therefore, it is extremely important that you do not send money to anyone until you have confirmed you are truly dealing with our office.
